Zurich Financial Services and Bupa have united to offer each other’s products to their customers. In the first phase the Zurich Advice Network will offer Bupa healthcare products, including Bupa Heartbeat, to Zurich’s customers from October.
The current Allied Dunbar Healthcare product closed to new customers on 30 September. Under the new arrangement, existing Allied Dunbar Healthcare plan holders will be transferred into another bespoke Bupa scheme which has been designed to reflect the terms of their existing scheme, enhanced with extra features and product flexibility. Dedicated Bupa advisers will support customers during the transfer process.
Zurich has also launched its new High Cover protection products for distribution via the network, which allow for low initial premiums and the chance to increase them as affordability improves. The new High Cover Lifestyle, which incorporates critical illness cover and optional life cover, is annually reviewable. It is also launching a High Cover version of its adaptable term plan, and a new product, Mortgage and Family Protector.
