WPA is to target the small group market with a new PMI product, which is anticipated to be available from September.
The product will be a multi-optioned concept, where consumers can select the benefits that suit them best.
WPA said the launch follows the success of its Freelance product, which encompasses income protection (IP), PMI and a cash plan, giving customers the option of mixing cover types.
Freelance Medical Plan incorporates two levels of PMI benefit. The first can give cover for inpatient hospital and specialist fees, while the second level includes provision for a private ambulance and nursing at home.
Accident and Sickness Plan is IP set on four levels of cover and offering up to £1,000 per month for 12 months.
Freelance Routine Medical Cover is a cash plan. Benefits include physiotherapy, chiropody, NHS prescriptions, optical and dental treatment.
