Health Shield is expanding its blue chip portfolio with the introduction of Virgin Retail to its cash benefit scheme.
The Crewe-based company won the contract to supply Virgin’s staff after a successful pitch in March.
Commenting on the introduction of Health Shield, Virgin’s reward manager, Nick Storey, said: “Many cash benefit schemes can concentrate too much on the finer details of their service and, as a consequence, become extremely difficult to understand.
“If there were areas we did not fully understand, Health Shield was always on hand with an explanation through the provision of a freephone number.”
Health Shield’s sales and marketing manager Philip Wood said: “For a company like Virgin to select Health Shield is a testament to the quality of our product. A company like Virgin would not have introduced a scheme that 3,000 employees may use unless it was 100 per cent sure about its effectiveness and, more importantly, in our ability.”
