Intermediaries can earn 500 air miles for every Bupa personal scheme they sell in September. This is double the number previously offered. Since May 2000, Bupa has given away more than 160,000 air miles and one broker alone has earned over 20,000.
To take part in the scheme, intermediaries need to fill in the form on Bupa’s intermediary website (www.BUPA.co.uk/intercom), giving details of how many private medical insurance, long term care, critical illness or income protection policies they have sold each month.
Bupa will then credit the relevant number of air miles to their account.
There is no limit to how many intermediaries can earn and this is in addition to any commission paid.
For a group scheme, Bupa will continue to offer 500 air miles. Bupa membership sales director Stephen Flanagan said: “This offer has been a real hit with intermediaries. It has been very successful in attracting new business for us, with over 30 percent of qualifying intermediaries selling Bupa schemes for the first time.”
