Secure Health is offering its products to intermediaries selling PMI. It has two ranges of Secure Health-branded PMI products, one underwritten by PPP healthcare, the other by Legal & General. Because of the volume of business it has generated, it has been able to negotiate substantial discounts on these products. For example, its PPP underwritten corporate product has more cover, includes the extensive Guardian Health hospital list, and can be as much as 40 per cent cheaper than a comparable PPP product.
Commission is available to intermediaries selling these products. Secure Health pays 40 per cent initial and renewal of up to eight per cent.
Intermediaries interested in selling the Secure Health branded products will have to successfully complete a training course to be granted a sales licence. The course will be designed to the specific needs of the intermediary and could include product knowledge and sales and presentation skills. Additionally, Secure Health will take up financial references and insists that intermediaries have personal indemnity insurance.
