Pure Protection is a network for non-regulated protection with a team of 15 serving 1,000 companies that employ mortgage brokers and independent financial advisers.
It boasts experts on financial services, sales, marketing and compliance and has a panel of 13 insurers including big names such as Norwich Union, Legal & General, and Canada Life among others. Callers will be welcomed by a ‘real person’ not an automated recording.
The site invites users to join up to the Best Advice Breakfast Briefing which will keep them abreast of all the industry news, daily. “Insurers are now taking fright at the cost they have taken on and are bringing in new plans to allow them to increase the monthly cost every five years,” it says.
Why would advisers want to join?
You retain your independence with no governing issues from Pure Protection.
There is a section specifically for downloading information such as Legal & General’s information booklet and term assurance application forms from various insurers. It also gives guidance on professional indemnity insurance, money laundering, providers and the FSA’s stance on mortgages and general insurance regulations.
It also has monthly newsletters, which can be clicked on, but annoyingly every time a section is selected another browser is opened.
Overall it’s a good site, with useful sections, and it is timely, as the time to consider joining a network could soon be upon intermediaries in the protection industry.
