But trying to get through the doctor’s surgery and then waiting for an appointment can be frustrating, inconvenient and have consequences for your health. Now, if you’re a Bupa business client, your employees can have fast access to reliable health information and primary care, with Babylon’s AI-powered healthcare service.

Leading the way with AI

Babylon offers a host of innovative features, all geared to giving you more control over your health, and AI is the driving force behind it.

At the first sign of illness, you can quickly and easily check your symptoms by engaging with Babylon’s AI interface. This intuitive triage and symptom checker, created by experienced doctors and scientists, understands the symptoms you enter and provides you with immediate and relevant information. It can recognise the vast majority of healthcare issues seen in primary care and provide information on any next steps that need to be taken. In June 2018 Babylon published a study into the effectiveness of its AI technology. In this study, which was conducted under test conditions, it was found to perform with 80% accuracy.

If you need to consult with a doctor, you are able to book an appointment then and there, in the app. Just a few taps and you will be booking a video or audio consultation on your mobile, at a time that suits you, normally within two hours. No more waiting to see a doctor. No more travelling when you are feeling unwell. No more wasting time in crowded clinic waiting rooms.

Another handy feature for people short of time is the ability to have prescriptions delivered to your door. This means you can now be diagnosed by a doctor and get your medication* without having to leave your home – or your office. All in a matter of hours.

Babylon and Bupa – a partnership in good health

With faster access to primary care, more convenient GP appointments and easier ways to manage your health, Babylon’s innovative healthcare solution is now available to all Bupa business clients. For all new and renewing SME clients, Babylon is included as standard with all health insurance schemes.
