AXA has launched the fifth annual Health Tech & You Awards to discover and celebrate entrepreneurs in the field of health technology innovation.
The awards aim to recognise those who are shaping the future of healthcare technology and making a tangible difference to the health and wellbeing of consumers.
Four new categories have been announced, two of which will run continuously throughout the year, seeking to identify and celebrate the entrepreneurs behind health-changing innovations for people to take charge of their wellbeing.
They are The Innovation Category – to recognise pioneers in early stage start-ups; and The Excellence Category – to recognise entrepreneurs leading later-stage businesses. They have a closing date of 15 February 2019.
In addition, two new “challenge” categories have been formed: The Mental Health in Children Challenge – to seek solutions that can support children and/or their parents in understanding and managing mental health; and The Sleep Challenge – to address sleep problems and look for affordable tools proven to change behaviour and deliver better sleeping patterns.
Richard Cooper, head of digital at AXA PPP healthcare, said innovations in health technology are transforming the way we care for our minds and bodies.
“That’s why we at AXA are driven to discover and support the inventors of the future with the successful awards programme for another year,” he added.
The categories will be supported by individual events throughout the year, culminating in the awards evening on 22 May 2019.
