The Millfield Partnership, a firm of independent financial advisers (IFAs), is to expand into advising clients on long term care (LTC) under the name, the Millfield Care Partnership.
Husband and wife team Jeremy and Janet Davies (who, in addition as a private venture, run Four Seasons Investments – an LTC training company for IFAs) will head up a team of between 35 and 50 IFAs who will be able to provide LTC care advice.
There are 400 general advisers working with the Millfield Partnership and Jeremy Davies says that he hopes to encourage them to get into LTC and be a part of what he describes as the “largest initiative on LTC that the country has ever seen”. The group is also looking to recruit advisers.
Davies said: “The Millfield Partnership is an ethical company and LTC is its big growth area.
“It has taken lots of commitment to get the initiative off the ground and lots of commitment and encouragement to persuade some advisers to take LTC seriously.”
