Legal & General looks set to launch a PMI product aimed at small companies later this year through the intermediary channel.
A spokeswoman for the insurer confirmed its business development managers were currently talking to intermediaries to gauge interest. Provided feedback is good the product is expected to be made available within the next few months. Legal & General, which entered the healthcare market in 1996, recently launched a new PMI product, Lifetime. This is range of straightforward plans which the insurer claims are among the most competitively priced in the market. They are not available through intermediaries.
