There has been massive interest from intermediaries in the Health Insurance awards which were launched last month.
The event, which will be held for the first time at the Dorchester Hotel in London on October 29, has attracted the attention of intermediaries across the board.
The awards are aimed at intermediaries who offer a wide range of products and they will be judged on their knowledge, professionalism and commitment to offering high levels of customer service. The size of an intermediary’s firm is irrelevant – a sole proprietor has an equal chance of winning as a firm employing hundreds of staff.
The awards will recognise excellence in a range of specialist areas. There are seven categories aimed at IFAs, brokers and intermediaries. The categories are: Best Individual Private Medical Insurance Intermediary, Best Group Private Medical Insurance Intermediary, Best Individual Income Protection Intermediary, Best Group Income Protection Intermediary, Best Critical Illness Intermediary, Best Long Term Care Intermediary and the Health Insurance Intermediary of the Year.
The intermediary categories are backed by an impressive list of sponsors who are: Prime Health, Norwich Union Healthcare, Tunbridge Wells Equitable, Generali, Colonial, Scottish Amicable European and BUPA.
Intermediaries will find entering the awards straightforward. The judges merely require a 1,000 word resume outlining why that individual thinks they should be recognised for excellence. The intermediary categories will be judged by an independent panel.
Winners will find success brings lasting benefits to their business. They will be seen as an authority within the industry and winning will be a highly effective way of boosting business opportunities.
The Health Insurance Awards will also honour the best providers in the industry.
The categories for this are aimed at insurers and will cover: Best Individual Medical Insurance Provider, the Best Group Private Medical Insurance Provider, Best Individual Income Protection Provider, Best Group Income Protection Provider, Best Long Term Care Provider, Best Critical Illness Provider, Most Innovative New Product, Best Use of Marketing, Best for Claims Handling and the Health Insurance Company of the Year.
The product provider categories will be judged by a sample of Health Insurance
readers who will be asked to give their opinions by telephone interview.
If you are considering entering these awards, do not delay. The deadline is 10 August and full details are available with this copy of Health Insurance. Any readers with queries should contact Rebecca Griffiths on 0171 505 8182.
