NMC Healthcare has announced that Aspen Healthcare, its UK private hospital and healthcare subsidiary, has appointed Rob Anderson as CEO.
Anderson (pictured) has 22 years of experience in the independent healthcare sector as a hospital director and multi-site leader, managing over 30 UK independent sector hospitals during his career.
In 2015, Anderson was appointed operations director for Spire Healthcare. Since leaving Spire in late summer of 2018, he has been working an independent consultant, supporting a number of healthcare clients including Care UK’s hospital division and the Lister Hospital in Accra, Ghana.
Anderson was trained by PWC as a Consultant partner in the delivery of its OpEx programmes. He is also is an active international hospital surveyor for the HQS (ex-Kings Fund) hospital accreditation programme, having worked on assignments in South Africa, Denmark, Cyprus, Turkey, Italy, Portugal as well as the UK.

Aspen Healthcare currently operates eight hospitals and clinics, with facilities in Scotland, Yorkshire, the Midlands and London.
