Tessa Sanderson, the Olympic javelin gold medalist, points to her mirror image which is seen nation-wide as part of cash plan provider, HSA’s marketing campaign.
She came face to face with her image at the Ideal Health Show, which was held recently at London’s Olympia. The four day event was designed to bring together public, private and voluntary organisations to celebrate 50 years of the NHS.
Other exhibitors at the show included Heinz Weight Watchers, National Asthma Campaign, the British Diabetic Society and BUPA. The National Blood Service attempted to persuade the visitors and exhibitors to save lives and give blood in one of the largest organised events of its kind. Also present were the team from BBC TV’s Casualty series, who were on hand to provide realistic fake wounds for just a £1, and celebrity chefs determined to teach the public how to create healthy meals.
The aim of the event was to educate and emphasise the importance of health to all those who attended and all profits from the sale of tickets were distributed back to charities and various NHS initiatives.
