Exeter Friendly Society, which specialises in PMI for the over 50s, is venturing into the younger market, through relaunch branding of its Exeter Care policy.
The changes are part of a bid to capture a stake in the market of younger individuals taking out PMI.
“We are delighted to be offering these changes to our products,” said Robin Payne, general manager, business development.
“People are now recognising the benefits that private medical insurance can offer and this is a trend we believe will continue,” he explained.
Although the PMI market is stagnant at present, Exeter Friendly reports growth in individual health cover.
“In recent months we have experienced a noticeable increase in younger and previously uninsured individuals taking out cover with the Society.” said Payne.
