BUPA has made further redundancies in its intermediary division, provoking speculation that it is paring down this side of its operation.
Industry insiders said that redundancies may be a sign of BUPA redirecting its focus away from intermediary sales.
BUPA denies the allegations.
It recently moved Jason Drew from the corporate and voluntary division, appointing him as new head of intermediary sales.
He commented: “BUPA is restructuring to make us more efficient as an organisation, meeting the needs of intermediaries and IFAs from a singular channel. We want to offer an improved service to intermediaries and IFAs and this is part of our long term commitment to them.”
Drew described the restructuring as “a very exciting change at BUPA”. He added: “The restructuring will be more productive for not only sales, but also delivery.”
