AXA Insurance .has. announced changes to its health insurance portfolio following a review of its healthcare operation. With effect from January 1, 2000, the AXA HealthWatch portfolio will be closed to new business, although it will continue to offer renewal terms and new business terms to group leavers and the addition of dependants to existing policies.
Additionally, the policy administration and commission functions for the HealthWatch portfolio will be transferred from Cardiff to the PPP healthcare operation in Tunbridge Wells. Executive HealthCare will continue to manage the claims handling for the HealthWatch policies.
All policy terms and conditions will remain unaltered although a further review of the HealthWatch portfolio is imminent.
These changes are part of AXA’s strategy to concentrate on one healthcare operation, PPP healthcare, which it acquired as part of the Guardian Royal Exchange Group during 1999.
