The countdown has begun to this year’s Health Insurance Awards, which are to be held at The London Hilton Hotel in Park Lane on October 25.
Last year’s event was attended by representatives from all sectors of the health insurance industry. And competition was fierce among providers and intermediaries to be recognised for the excellence of their contribution to the sector.
And now the Health Insurance Awards 2000 promise to be bigger and better than ever before – with this year seeing the introduction of a new category for intermediaries, Best Newcomer.
Entries for all the intermediary categories will be judged by a panel of industry experts taken from a wide range of backgrounds – all with a strong interest in the health insurance market.
Nominations in this category must be received by August 11, while votes for the provider categories should be with Health Insurance by August 14. The intermediary categories are:
-
Best Individual Private Medical Insurance Intermediary
-
Best Small Group Private Medical Insurance Intermediary
-
Best Large Group Private Medical Insurance Intermediary
-
Best International Private Medical Insurance Intermediary
-
Best Individual Income Protection Intermediary
-
Best Group Income Protection Intermediary
-
Best Critical Illness Intermediary
-

The judges will choose the Health Insurance Intermediary of the Year from the winners of these nine categories.
The intermediary awards are sponsored by BCWA, BUPA, BUPA International, Friends Provident, Norwich Union, PPP healthcare, PPP lifetime care, Royal & SunAlliance, Scottish Provident and Standard Life Healthcare.
